Benni sustainability

To meet the nationally defined reverse logistics targets for post-consumer packaging, companies must acquire a quantity of Recycling Certificates that is equivalent to at least 22% of the total mass of packaging placed on the market. These goals are progressive and seek to direct companies to adapt their processes in order to reach higher and higher recycling rates in the country. Still, the high costs of logistics and recycling make it difficult to develop the recycling chain and implement reverse logistics in companies.

So, in order to promote the development of this chain and make possible a solution for reverse packaging logistics in Brazil, eureciclo bets on environmental compensation, through the remuneration of environmental agents involved in this process, who until then were not paid for sorting materials. By allocating extra income, they encourage the recycling chain of each type of material, because it becomes more worthwhile to sort materials that have low added value, in addition to offering autonomy for these operators to invest the value where they need it most.

"100% environmental compensation of our packaging"

More than an adaptation to Brazilian legislation, it is an adaptation to a global movement of environmental awareness in which not only companies, but also consumers and the government, have an important role. This is because, when properly discarded, packaging generates incentives for the entire chain, in addition to returning to the production cycle as raw material for new materials, which contributes to the development of the circular economy. However, when discarded as common waste, they are sent to landfills, where they are rendered unusable, overloading the capacity of these spaces and generating a loss of efficiency in the economy.

Both incorrect disposal and the growing generation of packaging have led to profound environmental and economic consequences. It is estimated that worldwide more than 6.3 billion tons of materials are not recycled¹ and in Brazil alone we have already failed to generate more than 8 billion in the recycling chain² because of this.

Benni closed a partnership with eureciclo to make the environmental compensation of 100% of its packaging!!! That's right! Everything Benni produces is recycled!

industrial waste

In addition, for our industrial waste, we have a partnership with ECOBIOLOGICA, which applies a mix of bacteria to the production waste that digests all the fat. This means that we don't throw any greasy residue into the sewage system!

Collect

Benni also has a partner at Kurica so that this waste is properly disposed of.

The proper destination of waste is of extreme responsibility so that our planet does not suffer the consequences.

Our commitment is to you and our planet.

Benni Alimentos has an environmental and social commitment.

As a company, we take our environmental and social responsibility very seriously. We have a partnership with Eureciclo, which makes environmental compensation for all the packaging we produce. We also work with Eco Soluções Biológicas, a company that uses microorganisms to "eat" all the residues from our production, instead of sending them to the sewer. Through this partnership with Eu Reciclo and Eco Soluções Biológicas, we were able to maintain our commitment to environmental sustainability.

And we are also partners with the Hospital do Câncer de Londrina.
